Finnish for ‘Bear’, Karhu’s story stretches way back to Helsinki in 1916, humbly crafting locally-sourced birch into skis and javelins. Over the decades that followed, the brand grew to become a significant player in the sports scene, kitting out countless gold medal-winning Olympic athletes and developing the first patented Air Cushion midsole in ‘76. The silhouettes that followed propelled the small Finnish-brand to stardom, and we’re honoured to be stocking some of Karhu's first 'Air Cushion' models here at size?, including the 1982 Albatross and '77 ChampionAir.
