IX 'Johnny Kilroy' -
Released just before the 1993-94 NBA Season, Tinker Hatfield felt that the Air Jordan IX represented the globalisation of the Jordan brand, and designed the shoe whilst taking inspiration from MJ's global superstar status. The soles were designed from various languages that carry the spirit of the brand. They were also designed with a neoprene lining, and air units in the forefoot and heel to help improve performance. These edition are credited as the 'Johnny Kilroy', which was the alias used by Jordan to advertise the shoes released after his retirement in 1993, where MJ wore disguises and changed his number to 4. This reissue comes in premium black nubuck and metallic platinum, sat on the two tone mid sole. Other features include the gym red neoprene lining and Johnny Kilroy woven tab.
