The first G-Shock was designed by an engineer working for Casio named Kikuo Ibe, released in April 1983 and by 1998, 19 million G-Shocks had been sold worldwide. This GR 8900 is introduced in white and features the infamous shock resistant technology, backlighting, water resistance under daily use, alarm and a curved-shaped wrist band with dual fastening for a more comfortable fit.
