The first G-Shock was designed by an engineer working for Casio named Kikuo Ibe, released in April 1983 and by 1998, 19 million G-Shocks had been sold worldwide. This GA 100 is introduced in black and features the infamous shock resistant technology, backlighting, relative water resistance, world time function and a curved-shaped wrist band with dual fastening for a more comfortable fit.
